Dr Jose Ignacio Cuitun Coronado

Jose is a Research Fellow in Data Science / Medical Statistics. He is currently working to improve the access to medication reviews for older people with severe frailty who are prescribed high-risk medications across different ethnic groups and in more deprived areas of England. He is also working in ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) to inform shared treatment decisions in high blood pressure (hypertension) for older adults who are at risk of falls.
Jose is an applied statistician with a PhD in Social Statistics from the University of Manchester (2019). He has experience working with electronic health records (EHR). His work includes topics like cardiovascular diseases, cardiovascular mortality, mental health, neurodegenerative diseases, rheumatic diseases, and autoimmune diseases, using a variety of methods including multilevel modelling, joinpoint trend analysis, and survival analyses.
